Public Transportation
There is public transportation in all three countries, with lines that make the route to the main sights. Use google, the moovit app or ask hotel staff to help you and give you information.
A very interesting aspect of the trinational region is that you can move from one country to another by public transport. International buses make this journey.
From Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) to Ciudad del Este (Paraguay), there are several companies and buses that operate. To catch these buses, there is a stop in front of the Urban Transport Terminal (TTU) on Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek, where it reads “International Lines”. There are also buses leaving from the bus station. From Ciudad del Este to Foz do Iguaçu, buses wait in the main street of the Paraguayan city, waiting for passengers to board.
The line that goes to Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) is also operated by several bus companies, which depart from the Brazilian and Argentine TTU and also from the center of both cities.
In all these cases, it is important to confirm the times in advance. Most companies do not travel at dawn and night service function within a limited schedule.
